Western Sydney passengers will gain two 24-hour bus services from June 21, with new Route 52 and upgraded Route 80 set to provide frequent all-day links through Parramatta.
The changes will return a direct bus link between Parramatta, Ryde and the Sydney CBD while also upgrading the T-way service between Parramatta and Liverpool.
Route 52 will replace Routes 500X and 500N and operate via Victoria Road. It will connect Parramatta, Ryde and the Sydney CBD, joining the All Day Frequent Network.
Services on Route 52 will run every 10 minutes or better during the day, every 20 minutes or better in the early morning and late evening and every 30 minutes overnight.
The route will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It will use high-capacity bendy buses, including 13 of the 50 new buses being rolled out across some of Sydney’s busiest routes.
The T80 will also be renumbered as Route 80 and upgraded to operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week between Parramatta and Liverpool via the T-way.
Route 80 will run every 10 minutes during the day, every 20 minutes in the early morning and late evening and every 60 minutes overnight.

The two routes place Parramatta at the centre of a stronger 24-hour bus network. Route 52 restores a direct east-west link to the CBD through Ryde, while Route 80 strengthens north-south movement between Parramatta and Liverpool.
The June 21 changes form part of wider bus updates across Greater Sydney, including timetable and route changes in South West Sydney, the North West and Hills District, and the North Shore and Northern Beaches.
Several connecting services will also change. Route 501 will be adjusted to operate between West Ryde Station and Central, no longer operating to Parramatta. Route 525 will operate between Parramatta and Lidcombe, with its evening frequency improving from every 60 minutes to every 30 minutes.
Other North Shore and West changes include improved peak frequencies on Route 521, longer operating hours on routes 523 and 524 and a more direct Route 546 in North Parramatta.
For Western Sydney passengers, the headline change is simple: two corridors that previously relied on limited or less direct service patterns will now have all-day and overnight coverage.
The 24/7 upgrade is also significant for shift workers, airport and hospitality workers, students and passengers travelling outside traditional peak periods. It gives more people a public transport option when standard daytime timetables do not match their working hours.
Passengers are being encouraged to check updated timetables before June 21, with changes also affecting some dedicated school services across multiple regions.
