Safety on the road is always a key talking point in the heavy vehicle industry, whether that be drivers, passengers, operators, or anyone in between. It’s an area of the sector that has come on in leaps and bounds in recent years, and Webfleet is preparing to push it even further at this year’s National Bus and Coach Show.

Webfleet is one of Australia’s leading providers of mobility and fleet management and believes its new technologies can provide a new and exciting point of difference in ensuring everyone in the industry remains as safe as possible on the road.

“We’ve recently seen tragedies on our roads involving buses and coaches, with multiple contributing factors,” Bridgestone’s ANZ marketing manager for Webfleet Scott Elkington tells ABC.

“Technology has come a long way to help improve the safe operation of vehicles. We expect a large chunk of the show to be focused on solutions specific to safety.

“We will be demonstrating our AI-driven safety and technology devices – CAM150, Webfleet’s advanced vehicle reporting, including EV range, route planning and electrification analysis and Optidrive, our driver safety, recording and fleet management capabilities.”

Outside of the ability to demonstrate its new and exciting technologies, Webfleet is looking forward to using the Show as an opportunity to further strengthen its relationships with other people and organisations that operate within the bus and coach sector.

“Talking with industry and colleagues across the sector always provides insight into recent resolutions and upcoming challenges.

“It’s great to have a chinwag to trade experiences and the journeys in the last year, and that’s something that’s very hard to do over emails or on the phone.

“We want to share firsthand how working with us can reduce operating costs, improve safety and increase profitability for businesses across the industry.”
