WA reward outstanding contributor at AGM

A well-known industry figure received a special award while a major contract review was announced at the BusWA’s annual weekend of events

Last weekend the Western Australian bus and coach industry was together again, with three events held over a superb weekend of action.

The BusWA AGM and BCI Bus Show and Exhibitors Display was joined by the TWUSuper APTIA Breakfast and the Sponsors Cocktail over last Friday and Saturday.

At the all-important AGM, BusWA rewarded an outstanding member of the WA bus and coach community.

Go Party Bus Perth owner operator James Vlahos was awarded the achiever award for WA for his outstanding contributions to the WA bus industry as a pioneer for the party bus industry, as well as in the tour and charter sectors.

Vlahos was rewarded with a trip to the national BIC conference later this year.

During the AGM, the announcement was made that there will be a five year review into WA’s Evergreen school bus contracts, while various presentations were made.

To cap the event off, 16 new coaches and smaller buses were on display with another 18 smaller exhibitors showing off their best products at the BCI Bus Show and Exhibitors Display.

Keep an eye on ABC’s future magazines for a recap of the entire event.
