A Volvo Bus expert will now assume a larger director role with Volvo Bus Asia Pacific later this month
Volvo Group Australia has announced the appointment of Mark Fryer as its new Director of Product & Industry at Volvo Bus Asia Pacific, effective June 19, 2023.
Volvo says in the role, Fryer will support all markets in Asia Pacific in the areas of product and industry – which includes activities related to industrial operations, product management and electromobility.
Fryer most recently has held the position of National Bodybuild and Sales Engineering Manager for Volvo Bus Australia. Volvo says he has a wealth of industry experience in bodybuild and sales engineering, having worked at Volgren for 15 years in the manufacturing and production department.
Fryer joined Volvo Bus Australia in March 2020 as Technical and Bodybuild Support Manager and assumed the National Manager role in July 2021.

Based in Brisbane, Australia, Fryer will work within the Volvo Bus Asia Pacific Management Team across Australia and Asia.
“Mark has brought a unique skillset to our team, which has put us in a good position to be leading the way in the electric bus market in Australia.” Volvo Bus Australia General Manager Mitch Peden told ABC.
