The Volvo Bus Australia team is continuing to innovate in different ways, with the team gathering in Melbourne for their annual team conference last month to undergo a detailed training session on the new Volvo B13R coach.
Volvo Bus Asia-Pacific director of product and industry Mark Fryer led the sessions alongside director of quality and technical Shaun Tofts.
Through the training, the team gained valuable insights into the B13R features, capabilities and its potential to redefine industry standards, including the efficiency of the B13R and its ability to save customers up to nine per cent in fuel.
The team was able to ride on the bus and complete a detailed walkaround training session, providing valuable experience for the Volvo Bus team.
Volvo Bus Australia general manager Mitch Peden says the ability for the team to understand the product will prove essential, meaning they’re best placed to meet customer demands.
“Part of being better business partners to our customers, is understanding their business needs. That means our team need an in-depth understanding of all new product features, so that we’re able to best help our customers meet the demands of their business,” Peden told ABC.
“The Volvo B13R truly is an exciting product – with an all-new dash and driver ergonomics, it’s really a pleasure to drive. For our customers, it means efficiency without compromise on power – which ultimately means savings for business. We’re so pleased to have this product finally on offer to the Australian market.”
