The Brisbane Transport Museum has secured a new sponsorship arrangement with global transport solutions company Indra to help restore historic Brisbane City Council buses to their former glory.
Indra, a key contractor on Brisbane City Council’s flagship Brisbane Metro project, will support the refurbishment of several vintage vehicles, beginning with former Council bus 958, a 1985 MAN SL200.

The bus is being meticulously restored to its original Cityxpress livery by Scott Isaacs and the team at Coachworks/Royans Transport Accident Repairs in Acacia Ridge.
The Cityxpress service, launched in February 1982 between Garden City/Mt Gravatt and the CBD, was Brisbane’s first limited-stop, express bus route, running every 30 minutes.
Its innovative approach paved the way for modern services like the Brisbane Metro, which continues to transform public transport in the city today.
