Transdev golf day drives five-figure donation

Transdev NSW recently raised a large sum for Kids with Cancer Foundation

Transdev NSW raised more than $20,000 for the Kids with Cancer Foundation through its annual charity golf day held on September 9, 2022 at Cabramatta Golf Club.

A hundred industry representatives and staff participated in a round of golf at Cabramatta Golf Club as part of the day, which also included a silent auction and a lunch.

Transdev NSW Managing Director Robert Macey says this year’s event was a great success and raised a record amount for the charity.

“As a leading bus operator, we’ve always been proud to support the wonderful communities we serve. We’re absolutely thrilled to be able to hand over the highest amount ever raised through our annual charity golf day to a fantastic charity partner that supports kids with cancer and their families,” Macey says.

“This is our sixth year of running this event and, together with a donation from Transdev NSW, we’ve far exceeded our previous record of $11,600 in 2021.

“It’s an outstanding result and I’m so thankful to everyone involved for their generosity and contributions to an enjoyable and successful day.

“I’d like to make special mention of our Project Manager – Fleet and Assets, Bruno Martino, for bringing this day to life; and Bankstown Depot Manager, Jim Jansen, for his passion for the Kids with Cancer Foundation, a charity he’s long supported.”

Kids with Cancer Foundation CEO Todd Prees he was delighted to be part of this fantastic event and thanked all who supported the day for their contributions towards such a remarkable result.

“The Transdev NSW team should be extremely proud of this event. We send our heartfelt thanks to them, the sponsors and supporters of this event for their generosity. Funds raised on the day will directly impact the lives of, and help make today easier for, kids with cancer and their families,” he says.
