The QBIC Outstanding Employer award is presented to a company that demonstrates a strong and positive organisational culture and effective leadership, invests in employee education, training, and development programs, prioritises employee health, safety, and overall job satisfaction, is committed to employee retention, and values its employees.
Scania Bus and Coach managing director Manfred Streit congratulated the team for securing a QBIC Award for the second year in a row.
“What a fantastic award to win! I really appreciate your commitment and dedication to Scania and our customers,” Streit says.
“This is an excellent result for our business and proof that we are on the correct path, building a strong and resolute team that can take on a challenge and see it through.
“Plus, it is also good for our global management team to see that the effort we put into team building and career path development is successful in creating the right environment in which our employees can thrive.”
The nomination says Scania has consistently demonstrated a commitment to fostering a workplace culture that prioritises innovation, employee well-being, and sustainable practices.
“Scania’s dedication to creating a positive work environment is evident through its comprehensive employee development programs, which not only equips the workforce with the latest skills but also encourages a culture of continuous learning,” the nomination reads.
“The company’s emphasis on professional growth goes beyond traditional training, incorporating mentorship initiatives and leadership programs that empower employees to reach their full potential.”
Scania was praised for encouraging and supporting employees to contribute ideas and embrace cutting-edge technologies, fostering an atmosphere of creativity and forward-thinking that propels the company to new heights.
The team was also called out for its implementation of eco-friendly practices which has reduced Scania’s environmental impact and demonstrated a commitment to corporate social responsibility.
