SA government opens upgraded Tea Tree Plaza Park and Ride facility

The SA government has continued its investment in improving Adelaide’s bus facilities with the opening of Tea Tree Plaza’s new Park and Ride facility

The South Australian government has announced that the new Tea Tree Plaza Park and Ride facility has opened today.

The SA government says the $43.5 million expansion forms part of its investment in public transport infrastructure in Adelaide’s north-eastern suburbs to help make access to Adelaide’s bus network easier.

The new multi-storey car park has been built adjacent to the Tea Tree Plaza’s existing Park and Ride and has an increased capacity of 1200 car parks.

Vehicles can enter the new facility through the existing Park and Ride, with a new ramp connecting the two buildings and providing it a single entry and exit point.

Along with this upgrade, a second exit lane has been extended across the east side of the Park and Ride and the Busway Access Road.

The SA government says these upgrades create a three-lane roadway and removes the need to merge immediately into one exit lane when leaving the facility.

The new Park and Ride in Adelaide’s north east comes after the SA government recently announced construction had commenced on a new Crafers Park and Ride in the Adelaide Hills.
