Royans New Zealand has opened a new purpose-built heavy vehicle repair facility in Hornby, marking a significant development for operators across Canterbury. The new site brings the company’s Christchurch and Wigram workshops together under one roof, with operations beginning on 3 November.
Located at 24 Aruhe Road, the facility has an undercover footprint of around 3,000 square metres and has been designed to streamline repair processes and increase capacity. The consolidated site supports faster turnaround times and improved workflow for heavy vehicle work across the region.

The Hornby centre includes new spray booths, chassis alignment systems and specialist repair equipment. The workshop is equipped with an 18-metre semi-downdraft booth and a 20-metre downdraft drive-through booth with split wall capability. Two Josam chassis frame alignment systems and a Josam cab alignment tower support structural repairs, while additional equipment covers refinishing and body work.
The site allows Royans Christchurch to complete collision repairs, structural work, sandblasting, commercial spray painting, fleet imaging and signwriting from the same location. The business will continue to provide 24/7 accident recovery and towing.
The company says the facility is built to handle repairs for trucks, trailers, buses, coaches, motorhomes and industrial equipment. By combining both workshops into one operation, the new site is positioned to support individual vehicle repairs as well as fleet-wide work across Canterbury.
