Quakers Hill Police are appealing for help from the public after a rock was thrown through a bus window in Dean Park, New South Wales, yesterday (Tuesday, September 29).

Inspector Adel Atalla said the incident was extremely dangerous as there were 20 passengers onboard at the time.

“At 4.45pm, the bus was travelling from Blacktown to Mount Druitt along Hoyle Drive,” she says.

Police have been told a concrete paver was thrown through the bus window by a group of young males standing outside a shopping centre.

Police says the group ran from the area after the incident.

“It was extremely lucky no one was injured,” Inspector Atalla says. “The 20 passengers had to leave the bus and catch alternate transport.”

The bus was taken to the depot for police examination and will be repaired.

Any information about the incident should be passed on to Quakers Hills Police via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
