Smart transit management ecosystem provider transportme has announced it has partnered with a regional Queensland operator to provide ticketing services.
The technology supplier has partnered with Trans North in a step forward for regional transport in Queensland.
As part of the Regional Urban Bus (RUB) Translink ticketing requirements, transportme will help the operator develop a more connected and consistent approach to how services are delivered across the Trans North network.
Trans North was first established in 1983 by the Paronella family, growing until 2010 when it joined the Donric Group. The operator currently runs more than 80 vehicles across seven districts, varying from government-contracted urban and school services to long-distance runs.

The transit technology will allow Trans North to simplify day-to-day operations, improve visibility across services and support accurate and reliable reporting through the one ecosystem.
“It’s great to see continued momentum across Queensland, with forward-thinking operators like Trans North investing in smarter, future-ready transport solutions that strengthen both service delivery and community connection,” transportme says.
“For passengers, it means easier access to modern payment options and a smoother, more dependable travel experience.
“For drivers and operators, it reduces manual processes and creates greater confidence in how services are managed and delivered.”
