The Queensland government has announced a new Invitation to Offer (ITO) for three on demand transport contracts in the state.
The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) has released the packaged procurement for three on demand contracts in Gold Coast, Yarrabilba and Bribie Island, calling on operators to tender for the runs.
The Gold Coast on demand transport run will be a permanent service on the northern Gold Coast, while the new permanent service in Yarrabilba will be introduced to improve access to local retail hubs and existing public transport.
On Bribie Island, an on demand service will be trialled to supplement existing public transport services and improve community connections.

“While three individual contracts will be issued, TMR will encourage value for money options from the market through the packaged procurement,” the department says.
The on demand transport services will provide a flexible, shared and pre-booked operations that connects customers to wider public transport networks.
TMR says procurement for the contracts will be undertaken via the state government’s VendorPanel portal.
