QOCS secures largest government grant to date

The record QOCS grant is worth almost $29,000 and will help to update the Brisbane Transport Museum

The Queensland Omnibus & Coach Society (QOCS) has announced it has received its largest ever government grant from the Queensland state government.

QOCS has received a grant from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund Queensland for almost $29,000, allowing it to continue enhancing the newly opened Brisbane Transport Museum.

“This is the largest ever grant awarded to the club in its 28 year history,” QOCS says in a statement.

“We thank the Queensland government for their continued support.”

The funds will be used to install additional shade structures at the museum in Brisbane, allowing QOCS to house its newer vehicles that are too tall to fit in the museum shed, which is almost full as it is.

This means certain historical buses at the QOCS museum will be sheltered in the near future and not left out to the elements.
