QBIC gets app-savvy

On the technology forefront, QBIC has launched an app timed for this year’s Hamilton Island event

The Queensland Bus Industry Council, led by technology-savvy Executive Director David Tape, has launched a smart phone and tablet app for its annual conference.

Tape says the app is web-based and downloadable for iPhone, iPad and Android devices, and will be a ‘test bed’ app leading into QBIC’s exhibitions in coming years.

“Once you have created a user and selected your conference, your phone or browser will remember you each time you open the page,” Tape says.

“We advise saving the link as a bookmark on your device to ensure you are always able to view your conference information.

“I envisage future application of this technology to include floor plans of exhibitor locations,” he says.

“It’s an exciting time as QBIC progresses in this space.”

To access and download the QBIC app go to www.conferenceexpoapp.com.au.

QBIC’s Hamilton Island conference will be held on April 5-7.
