MAN has won two bus and coach awards at this year’s Future Congress Commercial Vehicles 2022 conference on June 1 in Berlin.

MAN Truck & Bus in total won four awards on the night, with the bus and coach sector of the business winning two of these honours in landslide victories.

Roughly 6,000 magazine readers of ETM-Verlag voted for the best commercial vehicles and the best brands in the sector, including the best bus award.

Introduced last year, the MAN Lion’s Intercity LE bus won the best intercity bus category due to its flexibility and minimal total cost of ownership.

MAN’s intercity bus can be configured into six buses from a basic model, helping it adapt to city traffic or intercity use depending on what is required of the versatile vehicle.

MAN Lion’s Coach also won in the high-deck coach category for the fourth time, signalling the widespread success of the coach.

Comfort, safety and design were all key pillars that helped the coach race to its fourth award, as voters also mentioned the LED lighting strip on board as another striking feature.

MAN executive board member Friedrich Baumann says the awards are a testament to the company’s high quality bus and coach products.
