Earlier this year Bauer truck and bus journalist Steve Skinner visited Sweden courtesy of Volvo Trucks, and while he was at it checked out the two fully electric Volvo route buses.

The electric buses were on trial in the beautiful port city of Gothenburg, which is Volvo’s global HQ.
Steve took this phone video between the historic city centre and the fully enclosable route 55 station.
The standout features of the otherwise normal looking bus were good acceleration and low noise — the bus being whisper quiet on the outside and with just a low level of driveline whine on the inside. That made a bit of body creak more noticeable than usual.
