Transport gurus’ new MD

Brisbane-based Trapeze Group has announced its new managing director for Australia and New Zealand

October 29, 2012

Transport systems development group Trapeze has announced the appointment of Bill Delaney as its new Managing Director for its Asia-Pacific territory in a move to strengthen the Group’s presence in the region.

Based in Brisbane, Delaney will be responsible for Trapeze operations throughout Australia and New Zealand, as well as supporting growth throughout the region.

Delaney has led the development and delivery of intelligent transport systems in the public transport and public safety sectors throughout Australia and New Zealand for the past 15 years.

Trapeze Group spokesperson Michael Dufton says Delaney’s experience achieving successful outcomes from both the vendor and client perspectives, and his pragmatic corporate leadership across technical, operational and commercial disciplines is a great fit with the group’s ‘Thinking in 360 degrees’ ethos.

“Bill will be an excellent addition to the existing leadership in Australia provided by Mark Woodhead and Dale Warren,” Dufton says.

The appointment follows on from the acquisition by Trapeze of Brisbane-based Bacchus Management in June this year, and the awarding of the contract to Trapeze to deliver real time passenger information for Action Buses in Canberra in August 2012.

Trapeze has been active in the region since 2005 with its Austrics business based in Adelaide.

“This is an exciting time to join Trapeze,” Delaney says.

“I look forward to expanding the business further in the region, building on our locally developed product, and drawing on Trapeze’s extensive global product offerings,” he says.
