Higer reduces risk with warranty

Higer has upped the ante with a five year driveline warranty on its buses – announced in October

October 28, 2011

Higer has announced a five-year driveline warranty on all its new buses and coaches sold in Australia.

WMC Group announced the new warranty in conjunction with the recent Sydney Bus Show where it debuted the new Higer 12 metre coach.

WMC Group CEO Jason Pecotic says the move to enhance the warranty is part of its strategy to demonstrate the confidence and faith it has in the Higer product.

“Part of our strategy over this time has been to remove the risk of buying a Chinese manufactured bus that some customers may see as a risk compared with Europeans and Japanese brands,” Pecotic says.

“This has included using world leading components, demonstrating Higer’s global size and becoming the only brand to offer five year transmission warranty through Allison.”

Pecotic says the warranty will extend the standard two-year bumper to bumper Higer warranty already in place with the addition of a three year drive line warranty which covers internal parts and most accessories on the engine, transmission and axles.

The extended warranty became standard for all new vehicles ordered or sold from October 1 this year.
