Sydney-based bus body builder Custom has appointed Paul Rochester (pictured) to manage the company’s sales in Victoria and Tasmania.

Custom’s National Sales Manager Geoff Ross says Rochester’s 35 years in the industry, combined with his enthusiasm for customer service makes him ideal for the role.

“Paul was a natural choice for Custom with his mechanical training and his chassis, body and air conditioning background, he can provide our customers with a full range of support,” Ross says.

Since his mid-January appointment Rochester has kept busy attending training in Sydney and participating at the South Australian Bus and Coach Tender and Contract conference.

“I’ve always had a soft spot for Custom and the new school and city bus products are very special,” Rochester says.

“Expect to see me driving the new SB50 and CB80 around the streets of Victoria and Tasmania.”

Rochester has also got down to business contacting local customers, establishing new contacts and revisiting current clients.

Custom has recently invested over $20 million in new plant and equipment including a new fully-owned plant at Villawood in Sydney.

The new plant also includes over $2.5 million of state-of-the-art laser cutters, both tube and flat bed.
