Police are searching for a man believed responsible for a Bondi bus driver bashing

An assault on a bus driver at North Bondi at the weekend has prompted a police search for the culprit.
Police allege a male passenger punched a 57-year-old male bus driver several times in the face yesterday afternoon while
his bus was stopped on Scarborough Crescent.
Police say the
alleged offender then exited the bus and was last seen running on Brighton Boulevard.
The bus driver was
taken to St Vincent’s Hospital for treatment to facial injuries.
Police are searching for a man described as being of Caucasian appearance, 188 centimetres tall with shoulder-length brown hair.
Police from Eastern Suburbs Local Area Command are appealing for anyone with information to contact Waverley Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
