With just one week to go, excitement is building for the 2026 Australasia Bus & Coach Expo, which is set to be the largest gathering of the bus and coach industry in Australia and New Zealand.
Hosted by BusNSW and proudly supported by the NSW government, the Expo will bring together operators, manufacturers, suppliers and government agencies to showcase the latest vehicles, technologies, equipment, products and services supporting the passenger transport industry.
BusNSW is pleased to announce NSW roads and regional transport minister Jenny Aitchison will officially open the Expo on July 15.
The timing of the Expo is particularly significant following the NSW government’s recent 2026–27 budget, which committed $6.5 billion over the next 10 years through the New Electric Bus Program.

The investment will deliver thousands of new battery electric buses and the supporting depot infrastructure required to transform the state’s bus fleet.
BusNSW executive director Matt Threlkeld says the Expo provides an ideal opportunity for operators and industry stakeholders to see firsthand the latest developments shaping the future of bus and coach mobility.
“The Expo brings together the people, vehicles, technologies and services that are driving innovation across the bus and coach industry,” he says.
“Visitors will have the opportunity to inspect a broad range of buses and coaches suitable for regular passenger and school services, as well as long-distance, tourist and charter operations. There will also be a variety of vehicle technologies on display, including a strong focus on battery electric buses.
“In addition to the impressive vehicle displays, exhibitors will showcase the latest equipment, parts, safety systems, workshop solutions, digital technologies and professional services that support a modern, efficient and growing industry.”
Visitors are strongly encouraged to pre-register online to ensure quick and easy access to the exhibition. Registration is free and available via the Expo website.
