The NSW government says people attending Sculpture by the Sea in Bondi should use the bus network to get there
The New South Wales government says public transport is the best way to enjoy the 24th annual Sculpture by the Sea exhibition, which returns this week after a two-year hiatus.
Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to visit the exhibition along the iconic Bondi to Tamarama coastal walk between this week and Monday 7 November.
Executive Director from the Transport Management Centre Craig Moran urged people to leave their car at home and catch public transport.
“With a combination of huge crowds, limited parking and heavy traffic expected during Sculpture by the Sea, the best option is taking public transport to and from the event,” Moran says.

“Buses run regularly between the Sydney CBD and Bondi Junction and between Bondi Junction and Bondi Beach.”
Moran encourages people to travel early or visit on a weekday to avoid large weekend crowds.
“Buses will be popular and we expect long queues – particularly on weekends – so, allow plenty of extra time or walk from the train station if you can,” Moran says.
Moran is calling for people to use the bus network in the region to get to the event, with roads being closed or impacted by heavy traffic in the lead-up to it.
