‘Book my Bus’ will help users find transport solutions with reviews and ratings
Customers and operators alike are to benefit from a new online service called Book my Bus, which allows users to find bus services which suit their needs.
Though the site will initially focus on east-coast charter services, expansions are already being considered.
Business development manager for Book my Bus, Josh Dunn, says the process will make it easier for operators, too.
“There are a number of features including mapping technology, distance calculations and alerts that will make the quoting process much more efficient for bus operators,” Dunn says.
“Bus operators can submit quotes, any time of day, based on job details provided in a consistent format, removing the time consuming process of phone calls, emails and data entry.”
He says the user experience will also make it easier for customers to find what they’re looking for, ultimately benefiting operators in the end.
“The fully automated and confidential online system allows customers to obtain and compare quotes for their bus hire, and select a bus operator,” he says.
“A key feature for customers will be a ‘TripAdvisor’ style rating system that will allow customers to consider both price and quality.”
Dunn encourages operators attending the Australian Bus and Coach Show in Sydney to visit the Book my Bus stand (number 74) for a demonstration.
