NEC showing the way in AI innovation

The heavy vehicle industry is already starting to reap the benefits of the rapid advancements being made in smart technology, and NEC is at the forefront of the bus and coach sector’s growth in the space

At the upcoming National Bus and Coach Show, NEC will be taking its technology to the stage and showing attendees the latest industry-specific, bespoke advancements made in the space.

“In our discussions with bus operators, generally they are very keen to understand what new technologies are available to them to assist with their business challenges,” NEC’s Tithi Roy tells ABC.

“They are often looking for the right partner to guide them through the process. This is what NEC does best, so we are always thrilled to get out, meet the industry and share our passion for transport.

“NEC will be demonstrating a range of our bus solutions from our mobility platform such as our turn-by-turn navigation, which is custom built for the bus industry in collaboration with HERE Technologies and receiving extremely positive reviews in market.

“We will also be showcasing our recently announced partnership with Hayden AI — which will see NEC offering a bus lane infringement detection solution in Australia and New Zealand.“

That new AI partnership is one part of what Roy believes a wide key discussion point of the Show will be.

“AI is the topic that has been that has been on everyone’s lips this year and we expect there to be a lot of interest,” Roy continues.

“We feel we can play a valuable role in demonstrating how AI solutions are already making big impacts in the areas of infringement detection and road management.

“We can’t wait to meet new people and share our joint knowledge and passion for transportation.

“It’s always great to walk away reinvigorated and buzzing with new ideas!”
