National Windscreens announces third acquisition in six months

Independent glass replacement and repairer National Windscreens have announced their full acquisition of Melbourne based Alpha Bus Glass.

Its third acquisition in six months, National Windscreens also recently purchased Top End Windscreens & Tinting in Darwin and Phoenix Glass in Brisbane.

Group CEO Campbell Jones says that these purchases are only the beginning.

“The announcement of these two acquisitions is a testament to the investments we are making and the speed that we want to move,” Jones says.

“We said back in March that with Nash Capital becoming a majority shareholder it will bring a significant investment in our people, facilities, equipment and the expansion of our network through company owned branches.”

Jones says the company is aiming to capture a larger portion of the on-highway market, which is a space they haven’t previously been in.

With operations in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Darwin, a significant market share in this segment is achievable.

“It is our intention at National Windscreens to grow our business in this vertical significantly, especially on the Eastern Seaboard,” he says.

National Windscreens’ ownership is effective immediately and will be led by John and Craig Perrie who have over 50 years’ experience in bus and coach glass.

With a number of short-term enhancements planned at Alpha Bus Glass, the name will remain with Jones saying he believes the team have built a solid business and vision.

“We will be adding a range of new vehicle technology capabilities in ADAS and diagnostic services in the near future. We are excited to welcome the Alpha team to our quickly growing family.”
