Metro Tasmania is set to continue delivering school bus services for Tasmanian students from the start of Term One.
However, Metro says that if a school resumes prior to February 8, students will need to utilise alternative transport options where available.
A total of 29 schools are set to be affected by this, including two in Burnie, seven in Launceston and 20 in Hobart.
Metro’s public bus services state-wide will also continue to operate to school holiday timetables while its school day only services won’t operate before then.
Throughout January, Metro has provided guides for students and parents to help prepare them for this and the year ahead.
Most recently, Metro has collated details for some of its key general public access services that currently operate around the schools affected.
Metro has also provided a guide to help students familiarise themselves with the routes and timetables of its bus services.
Metro says that students and parents can also consult its trip planner.
