Bus services across Sydney are set to see some changes as the 2025 year kicks off, with dozens of routes experiencing timetable differences and updated stops.
Starting from December 8, bus timetables and routes have been updated across the Inner West, aiming to support improved connections between buses, improved reliability and better meet passenger demand.

Route 320 has been extended to operate to Lee St, Railway Square at Central while Route 389 will now operate to and from the Maritime Museum (Murray Street).
Route 425 from Tempe to Dulwich Hill will be renamed the 418 and will go from Tempe to Burwood. This route will see improved services between Burwood and Sydenham, operating every 20 minutes during normal hours and every 10 minutes during peak hour.
Route 430 will operate between Sydenham and Central Station only. It will no longer operate between Central Station and Martin Place.
Route 433, 442 and 526 will become Frequent Network routes with services running every 10 minutes or better during the day.
Route 504X and 503 have been axed, while many others will run with higher service frequency.
Starting from January 19, bus timetable and some route changes across Sydney’s South East, North West, North Shore and Northern Beaches will come into effect.
Bus timetable changes will be affecting Routes 601, 605, 643, 734 and 745 in North West Sydney, while numerous other routes will see increased service frequency of 10 minutes.
Route 748 will see massive changes, extending to Abell Road, Melonba and adjusting to operate along Jerralong Drive, between Schofields Station and Alex Avenue. It will no longer operate between Tallawong and Rouse Hill.
The shuttle service route WPSB Blacktown Station to Westpoint Blacktown will also no longer operate come January 19.
For the North Shore and Northern Beaches, over 30 routes will see timetable changes.
Route 114 will be adjusted with Westbound services operating via the Pacific Hwy for improved connection to the Sydney Metro at Crows Nest Station, while Route 144 will operate a 24 hour service between Manly and Chatswood.
Route 228 will no longer operate between Mosman High School and Milsons Point, instead operating between Clifton Gardens and Mosman High School only.
Route 229 will be adjusted to operate between Beauty Point and North Sydney only. It will no longer operate between North Sydney and Milsons Point.
South East Sydney services will see slightly lesser changes, with seven timetables to change.
Route 339 will undergo the biggest change in the area, adjusting to loop at Central Station via Foveaux St, Elizabeth St and Albion St.
