The M-Combo’s innovative electric design has cemented King Long’s leadership in the rapidly growing smart bus segment. While traditional buses often feature box-like, utilitarian designs, King Long’s designers took a different route.
“The M-Combo stands out not only visually but also in enhancing passenger comfort and efficiency,” King Long Australian manager Harvey Zheng says.
As the official Australian distributor for King Long, Bus Stop Sales has been an integral part of the brand’s international success. Bus Stop Sales director Pete White says they are excited about being associated with the milestone achievement.
“This win demonstrates the quality and innovation that King Long consistently brings to the market,” White says.
“While the M-Combo may not yet be planned for Australian roads, the model’s design and build quality set an exciting benchmark for the future.”
Under his leadership, Bus Stop Sales has made significant strides in developing King Long’s imported and Australian-built range of bus solutions.
Although the M-Combo remains a prototype, White’s optimism signals a strong desire to collaborate with King Long to bring similar groundbreaking designs to Australian shores.
White says the M-Combo’s win at the Red Dot Design Awards is more than just an accolade—it signals a new chapter in King Long’s journey toward technological and design leadership in the bus industry and highlights it’s pursuit of excellence and commitment to creating a better, more sustainable future for public transport worldwide.
