Kinetic now delivers ten government bus contracts supporting schools in Perth and surrounds

Kinetic has continued its foray into the Western Australian bus circuit, successfully winning an additional government bus contract servicing schools in Gidgegannup north-east of Perth.

The operator will now operate the school bus services from Greg and Tracy Bear and have added an additional vehicle to its fleet.

Kinetic executive general manager WA Sarah Ismail says Greg and Tracy had done an amazing job servicing these communities for the past 17 years and the team would build on their legacy.

“We are committed to ongoing investment in the local market and with new fleet coming online we will further build our charter platform servicing schools, tourism, events and other industries,” Ismail says.

“We intend to continue expanding our partnerships delivering high quality bus services for our community, clients and government with a clear value proposition and passion for what we do.”

The announcement follows recent success winning a competitive tender for two contracted school bus services commencing in 2025, as Kinetic continues to build its reputation for service excellence and reliability in Western Australia.

These new services will support students from five schools in Midland and Kensington including those with special needs with three new accessible buses added to Kinetic’s local fleet.

The delivery of school services to Gidgegannup expands Kinetic’s partnership with the Public Transport Authority (PTA) of Western Australia. The company now delivers 10 contracted bus services across the greater Perth region from its depot in High Wycombe.

Ismail says growth of Kinetic’s local network was also creating career opportunities for women in the transport industry.

“One of the first local graduates of our Women Up Front trainee bus driver program is taking the wheel of the Gidgegannup service,” she says.

“The Women Up Front program has already upskilled 220 women around Australia this year and with our first three graduates here in Perth we now have more qualified team members and a diverse workforce ready to support our growth into the new year.”
