Kelsian Group secures $46 million bus service contract in Texas

The contract will span for five years, with the option to extend the contract term for up to five additional one-year terms

Kelsian Group Limited’s subsidiary, First Class Transportation (FCT), has secured a five-year contract renewal for The Woodlands Express bus service in Texas, USA.

Valued at approximately US$29 million (AUD$46.5 million), the new contract kicks off in May 2025, with options to extend the contract term for up to five additional one year terms.

First Class Transportation will continue to operate and maintain up to 25 coaches owned and provided by The Woodlands Township from the FCT facility in Houston, Texas.

“Our First Class Transportation team delivers 99.7 per cent reliability for The Woodlands Township, and we look forward to continuing our partnership,” Kelsian Group CEO Graeme Legh says.

FCT have also won a new contract with the City of Conroe, Texas, for a fixed-route service, utilising two buses per day for a five-year term. The contract will commence this month.

These buses will be provided by FCT during the first year of service and will transition to City Owned CNG vehicles during the second year.

“We are delighted to also be working with the City of Conroe and transitioning their fleet to CNG,” Gregh says.
