With previous months staying consistent in the 130-50s, July has smashed those numbers out of the park, delivering 216 buses and coaches in the month.
Volvo once again dominated the chassis market, this time with a whopping 75 deliveries in the month of July, almost doubling the runner-up Yutong who sat at 43 deliveries. Scania was hot on their heels, with 31 deliveries, while BCI (19) and BYD (11) trailed closely behind. King Long (9), Isuzu (8) and MAN (7) were neck to neck while Custom Denning and Mercedes-Benz sat with five each. BLK trickled in with two deliveries for July, with Challenger finishing us off with one.
Volgren continued to break its own records this month, with the bodybuilder making 72 deliveries in July. Yutong wasn’t too far off its tail, bringing in 43 and beating out BCI (24), Irizar (21) and Nexport (10). King Long sat at a comfortable nine deliveries, while Custom Bus and I-Bus tied on 8 deliveries for the month. Custom Denning had a respectable six, with Global Bus Venture and BLK trailing along after on 3. Coach Design, BusTech Group and Marcopolo each has two while Challenger, Coach Concepts and Express Coaches rallied at the end with one delivery each.
With 216 deliveries around the country, best believe a lot of the seating came straight from McConnell. Pulling a massive 90 deliveries for the month, the seating giant smashed their own numbers from June. Sege increased on its deliveries as well, with 45 units to take home second place, while Yutong was close behind on 40. StyleRide (16), King Long (9) and APM (8) fought hard till the end, with Marcopolo and Fainsa finishing the market off with one delivery.
After a lengthy back and forth each month, Coachair and Thermo King have this month tied on 49 deliveries each. Cling-Yutong tried hard to create a trio, ultimately just missing out with 43 deliveries for July. Hispacold was on par with last month’s numbers pulling in 21 units, while King Long sent off nine and Spheros and Songz tied on eight. Rounding us off was MCC on six, Denso on three and Valeo bringing us home on two.
Queensland continues to surprise, once again taking home the top spot with 68 deliveries. Victoria (49) and New South Wales (48) duked it out for silver, while Western Australia bounded along with 38. Following our victors were South Australia (seven), ACT (five) and Tasmania (one) finalising the deliveries for the sector.
