JET Charge to bring chargers to Expo

JET Charge will bring a range of charging equipment to this year's Bus & Coach Expo

JET Charge has evolved to become Australia’s leading electric vehicle charging expert with a large focus on bus and coach charging. Having recently completed a sizable installation of 10 75kW DC fast chargers for the Clarks Logan City Bus Service, the Victorian-based company has plenty to offer the growing bus and coach market.

JET Charge will arrive at this year’s Expo ready to show the latest range of DC chargers and electric infrastructure products.

“We’re going to bring a small selection of DC chargers,” bus division section manager Alex Bowler told ABC. “We’ll have some of the high-powered DC charging products so operators and visitors can have a look and feel of these systems.

“They will be able to see the size of the units and how operators need to interact with them. We find the manual handling aspect of our chargers is quite important as no one gets a good idea of this from photos and spec sheets.”

Bowler says the logic behind JET Charge’s thinking is that visitors can come to the booth and have a look and feel of the systems to see how they work. JET Charge will then have staff available to provide insight and have conversations about how these chargers work at scale in electric depots.

“We’ll have a mixture of chargers on display,” Bowler says. “Some products are yet to be deployed in bus depots.

“Our chargers are useful when it comes to ultra-fast fleet charging, while others are more portable and useful in workshops or as a backup.”

Bowler says the company wants to use the chance to meet various customers and clients to discuss how electric vehicles and charging can be used to benefit their business.

“JET Charge is a family run business, that is built on strong and meaningful relationships amongst industry and operators and it’s really important to us that we continue this,” Bowler says. “Plus, we love talking to people about their bus charging pain points and how we can work together to find practical real-life solutions to these issues.”
