Isuzu I-Bus now available for NSW mini bus procurement

Bus Stop Sales says the new 32-seat Isuzu I-Bus has been approved for NSW procurement

Bus Stop Sales has announced that the new 32-seat Isuzu I-Bus is able to be procured in New South Wales from the exclusive distributor of the minibus.

The new I-Bus offers the most adult seats in its class and has quickly become Australia’s best-selling mini bus within the 26-35 seat category according to Bus Stop.

Based on the Japanese made Isuzu NQR cab chassis, the 32 seat I-Bus now comes as standard with a six-year warranty that is backed by the Isuzu national service and support network.

Bus Stop Sales national sales network director Pete White says that the choice of the Isuzu drivetrain product was a perfect fit with his organisation as it is tried, tested and fully supported.

“As Australia’s best-selling truck brand for 32 consecutive years, Isuzu is well known and its product reliable and durability is unrivalled,” White says.

The completely renewed Isuzu I-bus range has great features. In particular, operators benefit from a high passenger load of 31 adult passengers (excluding driver) without the need for 2/3 seating.  The I-Bus body is also now fitted with a climate control air-conditioning which is a big improvement over floor heaters that has been common in this size category.

White confirmed that a factory wheel chair option is in production and would offer bus buyers a factory-built option that fell within the body warranty as opposed to an aftermarket fitment.  White says that this currently involves cutting into a brand-new bus body to fit the wheelchair door which is both expensive and impacts new vehicle warranty.

Regional and city operators alike are warmly welcoming the I-Bus, which is also the only mini bus within the procurement scheme that does not require AdBlue or a DPF burn system.

“The simplicity of the front engine Isuzu product, ease of access to the engine, durability off sealed roads and the national after sales support networks from both Bus Stop and Isuzu has been warmly welcomed by our customers,” White says.

Bus Stop will continue to develop, redesign and improve all buses within the I-Bus range. White says Bus Stop inspected and reviewed many first-generation buses and listened to operator feedback to refine and improve the product to be what it is today.

The latest generation I-Bus also benefits from Isuzu factory refinements with many safety features now included as standard, such as Advanced Emergency Braking, Distance Warning System, Electronic Stability Control and Lane Departure Warning.

“We look forward to continuing to build the Isuzu I-Bus range and product across Australia and thank Transport for NSW for the opportunity to support operators looking for a replacement school bus,” White says.
