The global body of Irizar has released the news, as its e-mobility team work to supply the electric buses
Irizar says its e-mobility team has closed a contract to supply 20 100 per cent electric zero-emissions buses to Pamplona’s Transports Ciutat Comtal (TCC) from the Moventis group.
The Moventis group currently manages the urban regional transport fleet in Pamplona, Spain.
Irizar says these new buses will be cutting-edge futuristic designs that will play a major role in the city’s transition to alternative fuels.
The delivery of the first units of the order is expected to for mid-2023.
Irizar says the buses ordered are 12-metre long Irizar IE tram model buses, which have aesthetic attributes of a tram and remain accessible, environmentally friendly and destined to enrich passenger experience.
“We’re extremely happy to be able to contribute to the ambitious sustainable public transport projects being undertaken by the community of the region of Pamplona,” Irizar e-mobility commercial manager for Spain and Portugal Inigo Azcona says.

“For us, it’s strategic that a region like Pamplona has chosen a local product with high technological content. The vehicle model they’ve chosen in the Irizar IE Tram, is our flagship model.
“It is revolutionising electromobility in cities. We hope the people of the region of Pamplona can enjoy all the advantages of the vehicle soon.”
The model includes latest generation 430 kWh Irizar batteries and come equipped with 206 kW traction engines.
Irizar says the vehicles can hold up to 80 passengers and have three doors, 25 seats for passengers, two wheelchair and pram areas as well as a ramp for disabled people.
The buses will have the option to be charged using an inverted pantograph or by slow charging in a garage.
