SEALINK BUYS WEST OZ SWAN VALLEY BUS TOUR COMPANY

A LEADING boutique bus tour provider in Western Australia’s Swan Valley wine region, on the outskirts of Perth, has been sold to Sealink WA - part of the Sealink Travel Group of companies - the company announced recently.

According to the company, the strategic asset acquisition will see the company deliver around 20,000 visitors to the region each year while further expanding the group’s footprint in the state, following the recent acquisition of Go West.

This acquisition comes in the same month Sealink Travel Group secured a spot in the S&P Dow Jones/ASX 200 index (ASX 200) September 2021 rebalance, it explains.

Sealink WA’s purchased assets include Swan Valley Tour’s three touring vehicles, website and, “…a strong brand that has championed tourism in the Swan Valley for over two decades,” according to Sealink CEO, Clint Feuerherdt.

“With the majority of Swan Valley Tours’ day trips already linking with our Swan River wine cruises operated by Sealink, the acquisition continues our strong connection to the Swan Valley and promotion of the region to visitors and locals alike,” Feuerherdt said.

A multi-award-winning tourism provider, Swan Valley Tours offers daily indulgence wine tours of the Swan Valley with Swan River cruise options – showcasing the region’s variety of world-class wines and wineries, beers, cider, chocolate, cheese and gourmet food, Sealink explains.

Feuerherdt says acquisitions that complement the core business are a key pillar in the company’s growth strategy.

“We believe the acquisition of Swan Valley Tours will further enhance the brilliant customer experiences that we already deliver at Sealink to offer more bespoke tours, charters and transfers to visitors to the region,” he stated.

“Alongside our public transport portfolio and in addition to the Go West operations, we’ll continue to broaden our tourism offerings in WA and expand our bus operations across the state.

“We look forward to welcoming the new team members and showcasing the stunning Swan Valley region to our customers,” he concluded.
