MELLO NEW GM OF GROWING BUS-TRUCK REPAIRER ROYANS

BUS AND TRUCK collision and accident repairer Royans has a new general manager Australia, with ex-MAN entity Mark Mello appointed to the role, it was announced recently.

Mello will be reporting to Royans CEO David Church, the company confirms.

Mello will succeed Steve O’Reilly, who announced his intention to step down once a suitable successor had been identified.

As reported in our sister magazine Australasian Transport News (ATN), a Royans statement notes Mello is a widely experienced senior executive with a strong commercial and operational track record spanning a 35-year career across Australasia and Asia.

He has a proven track record in truck, bus and military vehicles, having held senior executive roles at Penske Automotive and MAN Automotive and working with brands such as Volvo, Western Star, MAN and most recently the Daimler family of commercial vehicles, it explains.

“I am thrilled to be part of a rapid-growth organisation that is focused on defining the standard in commercial vehicle accident repair and service,” Mello said.

O’Reilly will be staying on with the business in the new role of quality assurance manager.

“We would like to thank Steve for his outstanding contribution to Royans over the many years and we look forward to that continuing in his new role,” the company noted.
