BACKED BY 20 years of sales experience in the motor industry, Volvo Bus Australia (VBA) has appointed Leonie Conyers as its key account and retail manager for QLD/NT, effective April 1, 2021, the company has announced.
Conyers has spent the past nine years with Volvo Group Australia, most recently with Volvo Penta, VBA confirms.
After commencing her time with Volvo Group Purchasing in 2011, Conyers has since held a number of roles within the Volvo group, including seven years as a national fleet account manager with Volvo Trucks, and 18 months with Volvo Penta Oceania as a business development representative – Industrial Engine Sales.
Throughout her time with Volvo Group, Conyers has developed exceptional insights into various areas of the Volvo Group business and has maintained vital long-term relationships with key industry figures and stakeholders, VBA states.

With a hunger for embarking on new challenges and learning new skills, Conyers combines her extensive experience with her passion for the Volvo brand and delivering customer success to drive business performance, Volvo explains.
“In what is an extremely exciting evolutionary period within the bus industry, I am very pleased that Leonie has decided to join the team at Volvo Bus,” said Mitch Peden, general manager Volvo Bus Australia.
“Leonie is a very skilled salesperson that is able to foster strong and enduring business partnerships.

In her new role, Conyers will be committed to supporting new and existing customer relationships and will continue to drive customer success and solutions across the states of QLD and NT, VBA confirms.
Based in Brisbane, Conyers will report directly to Volvo Bus Australia GM Mitch Peden.
