THE LOCKDOWN-INDUCED write-off that was 2020 has arguably made the 2021 Queensland Bus Industry Council’s annual conference in April, 2021, one of the most anticipated events on the Australasian bus and coach calendar, industry insiders confirm.

SOLD-OUT QBIC 2021 CONFERENCE: MOST ANTICIPATED EVER!
“On behalf of my executive and team, we look forward to welcoming you to the Gold Coast in April, 2021," said David Tape FCILT, CPP executive director/association secretary of QBIC.

To be held at Sea World Resort 9-10 next month and themed ‘Moving Forward Together’, the sold-out event will highlight not only QBIC’s new branding, but also the organisation’s commitment as an association to ‘move forward together’ with its members, the state government and TransLink, as it works to deliver a sustainable recovery path to rebuild our businesses and the economy, it explains.

Postponed due to the pandemic-induced lockdown last year – one that many would prefer to forget – 2020 was, however, also QBIC’s 20th year as the peak industry body in Queensland representing bus and coach operators.

"I am sure that we will have an opportunity to celebrate this achievement, and I thank and acknowledge every person who has contributed to making QBIC what it is today," said David Tape FCILT, CPP executive director/association secretary of QBIC.

"Again, we have endeavoured to deliver a program that is relevant and will add value or contribute to your business operation," he explained.

PEER ENGAGEMENT

Organisers are adamant the 2021 QBIC ‘Moving Forward Together’ annual conference will again provide a unique opportunity to engage fellow bus operators and key decision makers of this billion-dollar industry in a relaxed, friendly, and informative atmosphere supported by a fantastic social program.

"I must also thank our supply partners and sponsors for their continued support of our association," Tape stated.

"Historically, the Gold Coast in April delivers an average temperature of 26 degrees with around 10.8mm of rain - what better place to meet, socialise and conference?

"On behalf of my executive and team, we look forward to welcoming you to the Gold Coast in April, 2021, he said.
