CITING the largest major accounts and contracts team in the local bus industry, Volvo Bus Australia is celebrating 10 years as ‘market leader’ in 2020, the company reports.

DECADE OF MARKET LEADERSHIP FROM VOLVO BUS AUSTRALIA
As Volvo Bus Australia celebrates 10 years as market leader, the company says it will continue to lead with its values of quality, safety and environmental care.

With the significant milestone marked, Volvo Bus Australia says its dedicated team looks forward to, "…another year of continuous improvement, innovation and growth alongside their partners."

Surpassing all other OEMs in 2010, Volvo Bus has gone from strength to strength in its operations across Australia and has maintained its position as market leader, it states.

Much of its success has been attested to its values, industry-leading service and support levels, and the resulting long-term partnerships built with its customers, the company explains.

"In addition to our dedicated team at Volvo Bus Australia, we are fortunate enough to have product support from Volvo Bus Corporation globally, and also leverage from being part of the wider Volvo Group," said Lauren Downs, general manager Volvo Bus Australia.

"In Australia we also have the largest major accounts and contracts team in the industry, with demonstrated results in our strong, longstanding partnerships with the cities of Perth and Brisbane.

"I believe it is a testament to our passionate and dedicated team to proudly confirm our position as market leaders over the past decade," Downs said.

RAISING THE BAR

Volvo’s dedicated effort towards fuel-efficient and reliable products in the city, school and coach range has also been instrumental in contributing to its longstanding success, it says.

These products have not only enhanced the overall driving experience for customers, but have ‘raised the bar’ for industry standards, it adds.

Similar efforts have also been invested in driving innovation and continuous development across the range; Volvo Dynamic Steering (VDS), Volvo Driver Support System (DSS), hybrid technology, Euro 6 and the Volvo I-Shift transmission, in particular, have been areas of focus for Volvo Bus as it develops and refines these technologies, it explains.

According to the company, the hybrid product is proving particularly successful for Volvo and customers alike – with Volvo Bus clearly leading the way in the continued momentum towards electro-mobility industry wide, it claims.

The hybrid product is proven to reduce fuel and emissions, without the need for external charging infrastructure, it states.

AT THE FOREFRONT

With its "highly skilled and trained" bus technician team, remote diagnostics available via the Connected Services telematics offering (free of charge with all new delivered Volvo buses) and product support from the "largest dealer network in the country", Volvo Bus says it is, "…well equipped with the expertise and resources to remain at the forefront of customer support – ensuring uptime for customers is at the top of the Volvo team’s priority list," it confirms.

As Volvo Bus Australia celebrates 10 years as market leader, the company will continue to lead with its values of quality, safety and environmental care, it says.

It adds that "exciting product announcements" are due later in the year.
