DENNING DEAL DONE! CUSTOM BUS INVESTS EVEN FURTHER

BREAKING: One of the most surprising Australasian bus industry purchases has formally completed, with Denning Manufacturing Pty Ltd now officially part of the same group of companies as Custom Bus Group, it was announced today.

It has been confirmed to ABC magazine that Denning will continue to manufacture all current models of buses and coaches from its Brisbane factory, whilst the Sydney (Custom) factory will start delivering Denning school buses on European chassis from April, 2020.

“It is a proud moment for the group,” said Custom Bus Group CEO Scott Dunn.

“Denning has great people and is an iconic brand in Australia. As part of the acquisition all managers and staff have signed new contracts and transferred,” he affirmed.

TOTAL INVESTMENT

The acquisition now gives the Custom Denning Group manufacturing facilities in both Sydney and Brisbane.

Total investment for the month is now in excess of AUD$12 million, which has included the acquisition of an additional manufacturing factory in St Marys, in Sydney’s greater West – home for its new robot-welding and fibre laser-cutting machines, according to Custom Bus Group.

As Dunn explained: “I am pleased with our continuous improvement; this additional factory, new technology and increased efficiency will allow us to create additional Australian jobs and increase capacity, with availability for deliveries from April, 2020, onwards.”
