A NOVEL approach to selling pre-owned Daimler-family buses and coaches in Europe called BusStore has opened for business in 2019.
With a range of 160 vehicles branded Mercedes-Benz and Setra, BusStore opened late February in Neu-Ulm, Germany. On 15,000 square meters the mainly Mercedes-Benz and Setra Buses were presented and offered to international costumers.
Out of the in total 19 BusStore centres and five partner support points in Europe, Neu-Ulm is the biggest within the European used-bus organisation, states Daimler.
Test drives are a matter of course during the pre-owned bus and coach events run by BusStore, with every visitor given the opportunity to put the buses through their paces, it states.
CLOSER TO CUSTOMERS
Upon request, the buses can even be driven over the BusStore workshop so the condition of the used vehicle can be checked underneath, too. For the test drives and technical questions of the customers, eight workshop mechanics and eleven sales advisors were on-hand at the opening to provide detailed information.
According to Daimler, the concept of the event has also changed this year for the first time: the company will no longer present BusStore as a big European show, rather it will turn towards organising several local events instead. This new concept will allow the company to get closer to its bus customers, the company explains.
