BUSVIC 75TH ANNIVERSARY BOOSTING 2019 EXPO DEMAND
This event will attract 1500 bus and coach industry delegates from Asia Pacific providing a fantastic opportunity for operators, suppliers, regulators and other stakeholders to connect, says BusVic.

Being held at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) October 1-2, 2019, - in BusVic's 75th anniversary year - this event will attract 1500 bus and coach industry delegates from Asia Pacific providing a fantastic opportunity for operators, suppliers, regulators and other stakeholders to connect, says BusVic.

BusVic executive director Dr Chris Lowe said, "All of the large bus display stands have sold and we’ve only a handful of single-bus display stands left.  Single and double exhibition booths are also available to suppliers with product or service offerings that might add value to an operators’ business," he explained.

"All of the major brands are attending, as are some new market entrants," said Lowe.

TWEAKED FORMAT

The maintenance conference side of the event is shorter and sharper than previous years, too, says BusVic.

"To give the industry suppliers more time to showcase their wares with potential customers, we’ve made the conference sessions no more than half an hour and we won’t be running management sessions and technical sessions at the same time this year."

"We’ll alternate these program sessions to enable focus on the expo," said Lowe.

Former Australian Prime Minister John Howard is confirmed as the opening keynote speaker on Tuesday morning, and former Australian cricket team captain Steve Waugh will be the keynote speaker on the Wednesday morning.

"You can’t get two bigger names to inspire delegates," said Lowe.

The industry gala dinner being held in the Melbourne Room at MCEC on October 1 promises to be an evening to remember, with The Voices Supergroup confirmed as the entertainment. Consisting of members of Taxiride, Boom Crash Opera, The Choirboys and Rob Mills, the band will perform hits from the ’80s, ’90s and today.

Delegate registration to the event will open in March. For all enquiries, contact Chris Lowe on  0420 372 248.
