PENSKE OPENS NEW CHRISTCHURCH FACILITY


A BRAND NEW, state-of-the-art Penske New Zealand facility is to open in Christchurch on February 4, 2019, it’s reported.

The new Penske facility is located at 2 Headquarters Place, Hornby South, Christchurch, NZ.

To coincide with the opening, local commercial vehicle dealer Heavy Trucks is joining the Penske New Zealand family and will relocate to the new Penske Christchurch site, also effective February 4, the company confirms.

The new Penske Christchurch facility will provide full retail sales, parts, and service support for the Western Star Trucks, MAN Truck & Bus, Dennis Eagle, MTU, and Detroit brands.

According to Penske, customers will, "…continue to receive the great experience to which they were accustomed with Heavy Trucks, while also benefiting from the broader Penske New Zealand network, including the Auckland and Tauranga locations on the North Island."

"With our new Christchurch facility, we will be able to build on the great reputation that Heavy Trucks has earned on the South Island for exceptional customer service."

Situated on 11,500m2 of land, the purpose-built Christchurch facility comprises 1,860m2 of workshop space, a 500m2 parts warehouse, and 900m2 of office space and amenities.

"The state-of-the-art workshop houses 18 truck bays, a machine shop, a drive-through wash bay, and two full-length service pits fitted out with the latest servicing equipment, providing exceptional amenities for our staff, our customers, and their assets," he said.

The new Penske Christchurch facility is located at 2 Headquarters Place, Hornby South, Christchurch.
