BUS PARTS SUPPLIER RESTRUCTURES FOR IMPROVED DELIVERY TIMES

BUS OE AND AFTERMARKET parts supplier Whites Diesels now has a more “efficient and streamlined centralised warehouse model” that focuses on overnight and same-day delivery Australia-wide as priority, the company announced recently.

Whites Diesels can now deliver OE quality and aftermarket parts overnight to most of its customers nationwide, with the change promising to bring some significant benefits to its customers, it states.

These include: better consistency in parts supply, higher stock holding, next-day delivery and, in some cases, same-day delivery of parts, and lower freight costs, it claims.

With reduced operating costs Whites Diesels says it will now be able to offer a very competitive pricing structure across its full range of OE and aftermarket parts.

This change also means a change from local branches warehouses (except for Townsville, Queensland) to sales offices with dedicated parts specialists focused on customer needs and ensuring buyers get the right part the first time, when needed, it explains.

Pick-up from the branches will be no longer available from the start of 2019, it says.

IN TRANSITION

According to the company, the team at Whites Diesels has a well-earned reputation of being able to identify and deliver the hard-to-get parts, as well as having the fast-moving ones.

New supply chain efficiencies now mean everyday low prices for Whites Diesels customers, which includes a price match guarantee, it confirms.

It is expected that customers will not notice any change during this transition, which will occur over the 2018 Christmas shutdown period, it explains.
