KANGAROO BUS LINES WINS MAJOR TOURISM AWARD – AGAIN!

FOR THE SECOND consecutive year, Queensland’s Kangaroo Bus Lines (KBL) has won the top prize under the ‘Tourism: Tours and Transfers’ category, at a 2018 Sunshine Coast Business Awards gala event held recently.

The Tourism Award recognises Kangaroo Bus Lines for its outstanding teamwork, business management, innovation and focus on future growth.

Celebrating 40 years this year, Kangaroo Bus Lines has been, “…delivering superior service and experiences to our clients for 35 years and counting,” it states.

Established in 1978, it is a family owned and operated organisation that has experienced significant growth since its humble beginnings of six buses, operated from a private residence servicing the Moreton Bay district, it states.

QUALITY DRIVEN

The past 40 years has seen the organisation evolve to encompass a range of, “…transport solutions and experiences throughout the greater Queensland region and beyond,” it states, and has been, “…a leader in industry, innovation and sustainability.”

With its head office located just north of Brisbane at Burpengary – between the CBD and Sunshine Coast – its purpose-built facility is home to more than 100 immaculately presented, modern vehicles, a state-of the art workshop and a passionate and dedicated team, it says.

A TOUGH FIELD

Kangaroo Bus Lines was up against a strong group of eight finalists, all of which were judged on their written applications and finalist panel interviews.

Webster said: “Our team submitted a 5,240-word application and, in the finalist panel interview, we seized the opportunity to present our new short corporate video on our KBL YouTube Channel.”

“It captures an intimate, behind-the-scenes look of our company and showcases our transport evolution.”

Webster reiterated the surprise he had when they were announced the winner due to the high number of innovative and growing businesses who had applied.

“The win was not expected. We had heard the Awards this year had a record number of applicants, fielding 150 per cent more entries than last year.”

“Achievements like this are not reached without the enthusiasm of our management team and our team of dedicated drivers at our Sunshine Coast depot.

“We’re extremely excited to be taking home yet another prestigious award and look forward to the new year ahead,” he explained.
