YUTONG AUSTRALIA BUS AND COACH DISTRIBUTOR NETWORK EXPANDS

QUEENSLAND-BASED Yutong distributor Bus Stop Sales and Service (Bus Stop) has also been appointed as the new and exclusive dealer for the Chinese bus brand in Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania, it’s reported recently.

The southern expansion coincides with the company newly appointing industry stalwart Guy Pex as general manager for the southern states, in addition to the company launching its highly anticipated Yutong 53-seat high-floor “Super Coach” – the Australian version of the European model known as the T12.

According to Bus Stop, Pex’s extensive bus industry experience is a fantastic addition to the growing Bus Stop team.

“I joined the bus industry in 2010 with Irizar Oceania / Patico Automotive (the original distributor in Australia) as sales manager; initially the company purely sold the Irizar school bus and coach bodies in partnership with the OEM chassis suppliers,” said Pex.

“Later on Irizar themselves took over the distribution and Patico took on other brands, such as Optare low-floor buses and a number of other smaller bus brands.

“I am excited to have joined the Bus Stop team and looking forward to establishing the Yutong brand and Bus Stop Sales & Service in the southern states.

“I am looking forward to demonstrating all of the Yutong products to operators and, in particular, the stunning new T12 “Super Coach” – it’s superb to drive and already it is getting rave reviews,” Pex explained.

Furthermore, Bus Stop says it is also pleased to announce the appointment of Macquarrie Corporation as the preferred service centre for all Yutong after-sales requirements. Macquarrie has more than 65 years’ experience in the automotive industry and are located at 1620 Sydney Road, Campbellfield, north of Melbourne.

ABOUT BUS STOP SALES

Bus Stop Sales & Service is an Australian-owned and operated business with bases in Archerfield, Queensland; Campbellfield, Victoria; and Welshpool, Western Australia.

As the company states, it is the appointed dealer of Yutong vehicles for Queensland (south of Mackay), northern New South Wales (north of Port Macquarie), Northern Territory, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia.

Holding the title as the ‘world’s biggest bus manufacturer’ – producing more than 75,000 vehicles each year, says Bus Stop – Yutong is committed to supplying high-quality buses and coaches for the Australian market, it’s claimed.

Bus Stop Sales & Service was founded in January 2014 and is headed up by dealer principal Pete White, who is supported by his father Dick White, and a collective team bringing more than 40 years’ bus body building and industry experience to the customer, the company says.

In addition to the Yutong product range, it also specialises in selling used buses, coaches and motorhomes across Australia.

Bus Stop, Yutong Australia and its service agents hold in excess of AUD$1 million worth of genuine parts and equipment throughout Australia, with a nationwide team of factory-trained and supported service agents to help with any repairs, it states.

All Yutong coaches are equipped with the industry-known componentry, including: Cummins engines made in the United Kingdom, American-made Allison Transmissions, German-made ZF steering axles and Belgium-supplied Wabco ABS braking systems, says Bus Stop.

HIGH-FLOOR “SUPER COACH”

Newly arrived in Australia is the Yutong high-floor “Super Coach“, as named by Bus Stop.

As a high-performance vehicle for those seeking a first-class passenger experience, it is modelled upon European lines and incorporating only the finest componentry, says Bus Stop.

With leather seats, wood-grain flooring, two fold-down TV screens and LED roof trip lighting, the premium Yutong coach from Bus Stop also has a high floor line with increased luggage capacity, split windscreens and Spheros air conditioning.
