"After more than 25 years in the market as one of the country’s primary European spare parts supplier for leading bus and truck marques, we needed to expand our operation," he explained.

"In the first quarter of this year we decided to introduce Whites Commercial Vehicles Pty Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of Whites Diesels Australia. Whites Commercial Vehicles has negotiated with overseas and local bus body builders because of its ability to satisfy the unique needs of Australia’s harsh operating conditions, with a focus on quality, reliability and value for money, it states. Whites Commercial Vehicles intends to develop buses of the highest standard and build quality, it’s claimed.

"At Whites Commercial Vehicles our aim is to have the very best after-sales service, spare parts and technical back-up," said Lou Riccardi, general manager at Whites Commercial Vehicles Pty Ltd.

"We have a team with more than 25 years' bus industry experience, know-how, and capability and also have seven branches around Australia, which represents a great platform to service our current and future customers promptly and efficiently," he added.

Founded by Darryl White in 1991, Whites Diesels spent its first few years specialising in used Mercedes-Benz parts, it’s stated. In 1998 it opened its first branch in Sydney and started importing brand-new parts.

Today, it operates seven branches around Australia. It imports all its parts brand new, and it is one of the country’s leading bus and truck parts suppliers, shipping right across the Asia-Pacific, according to its website.
