Transit Systems NSW General Manager Len Kidd personally handed out hundreds of muffins to Region 3 passengers, which includes Liverpool, Fairfield and Holroyd.

Five hundred muffins were loaded onto a special service double decker ‘Thank U Sydney’ bus on Wednesday this week.

Transit Systems CEO Clint Feuerherdt says it’s been a pleasure to be able to transport so many people in the community and to reach this milestone.

“We are proud to reach the 50M passenger milestone and celebrate the moment with people who use our service every day,” he says.

“We’d like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and hopefully the muffin is a pleasant surprise on an otherwise ordinary day.

“Transit Systems has continually improved services in the contract region, delivering 65 brand new buses, introducing double decker buses on the T-80 and improving timetabling and connections.”

Under the management of Transit Systems, the T80 service between Parramatta and Liverpool has become Sydney’s first bus rapid transport route, operating a five minute frequency service during peak periods. It also runs the states only large-scale fully air-conditioned and wheel chair accessible fleet.
