Wrightbus order from Bus Travel NZ

Bus Travel NZ has taken delivery of three Wrightbus StreetLite single deck vehicles

The vehicles are the 11.5 metre ‘door forward’ variant including passenger friendly two and three tier independent luggage racks with seating for 39 passengers.

All feature Daimler Euro 6 engines with Voith D824.6E gearboxes and also include Wrightbus Micro Hybrid technology proven, which maximises fuel efficiency and reduces emissions.

Bus Travel NZ, is part of the Leopard Coachlines group, which specialises in Auckland airport services and transfers in addition to New Zealand-wide coach touring.

The three new StreetLites will be deployed from Bus Travel NZ’s Manukau depot at Auckland International Airport and will be part of a 24 hour, 7 day a week service for airport customers and employees.

Bus Travel NZ is the first Kiwi customer for Wrightbus.

Wrightbus is represented in New Zealand and Australia by Patico Automotive, who’s Managing Director Tony Fairweather is elated that the company has chosen Wrightbus.

“We have been demonstrating this vehicle on behalf of Wrightbus in New Zealand and Australia for almost 12 months and the reaction from operators and drivers has been very encouraging,” he says.

“I am confident that we can build on this success, and look forward to supplying more of these excellent vehicles throughout New Zealand and Australia in coming years.”

Wrightbus International Head of Business Development, Mark Mitchell, says the company is  extremely proud to make its first vehicle deliveries into New Zealand
